Phlebotomy technicians are part of the medical laboratory team whose primary role is the collection of blood samples from patients using microtechniques or venipuncture. The phlebotomy program is comprehensive and provides students with the necessary skill set for entry-level positions as phlebotomists. Upon successful completion of the program, students are eligible to sit for the national examination for phlebotomy.
